Man Shows ‘Difference Between FedEx and USPS’ in Shocking Doorbell Footage

A man has shared what he says is the difference between the delivery of his parcels by FedEx and USPS on YouTube. Waiting for deliveries can be a tedious task, especially for important objects, and this doorbell camera video has both raised and lowered expectations at the same time.

Gabe White shared the footage from his house to YouTube on June 4, where it has currently gained over 50,000 views in less than a day. White went on to post the video to Reddit, where it has amassed over 12,000 votes and 1,000 comments in just eight hours.

“The difference between our FedEx and USPS deliveries today,” he titled the video. The footage begins with a delivery driver, who White claims is a FedEx driver, delivering a large parcel. The box however is simply dropped straight onto the patio, before the driver swiftly walks off.

A USPS driver, arrives later while it’s raining. The driver can audibly be heard saying: “Jesus, they just threw that on the floor.” He then goes on to place his parcel in the corner of the patio, before moving the other deliveries out of the rain and into a safer place.

“Shout out to our USPS driver for moving all packages out of the rain,” White captioned the footage.

Viewers have rushed to praise the USPS driver in the comments, applauding him for going the extra mile to move the parcels which weren’t his. “This is the kind of person I think I would want as a friend. This clip says a lot,” wrote one Reddit user.

“He gained nothing from doing this small act of kindness and that speaks volumes for his character,” added another.

Although the FedEx driver received criticism in response to the video, some defended her and suggested any fault would be with whoever packaged the item. “That’s probably the shortest drop that package had along the way. It is completely normal for a package to fall 6ft right onto solid concrete. Delicate items should be wrapped in bubble wrap and double boxed with two inches of padding on all sides between the boxes,” wrote a Reddit user.

Others speculated the cause for the stark difference between the handling of the parcels, with FedEx drivers being contracted workers, while USPS drivers are unionized employees of the company.

Recently, another USPS driver, Evan Jones, was widely praised on social media, after he posted a TikTok video showing a “Karen” banging on his window while he ate lunch. The video claimed the woman was angry about waiting for her delivery, however Jones later confirmed the whole thing had been a “prank,” with his friend.

Newsweek has contacted FedEx, USPS and White for comment.
