Mike Pence Shouted Down by Hecklers Chanting ‘Traitor’ During Speech at Conservative Summit

Former Vice President Mike Pence was heckled with boos and calls from the audience of being a “traitor” during his speech at the Faith and Freedom Coalition on Friday in Orlando, Florida.

“It is great to be back with so many patriots dedicated to faith and freedom and the road to the majority,” Pence began, followed by applause.

Shortly after, cries of the word “traitor” began as hecklers in the crowd started to shout.

“I’m a Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order,” Pence continued, as the harassers in the audience grew louder, continuing to shout, “traitor.”

Witnesses reported that some of the hecklers were removed from the event.

Newsweek reached out to Pence’s office for comment but has not heard back.

This is a breaking story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
