A Texas man is accused of breaking into the homes of two different women who lived in the same gated community within 20 minutes of each other.
According to police, a 36-year-old man allegedly broke into The Lake at Stonehenge just south of Buffalo Bayou in Houston. The community’s gate is always closed unless opened by someone with a clicker or code.
The suspect was recorded on home surveillance video walking down the street before police took him into custody, according to KHOU, the CBS affiliate in the greater Houston area.

The first victim called 911 just after 2 a.m. on Tuesday. The call was reported as a home invasion.
Police said the 68-year-old woman woke up to find the suspect holding her cell phone in her bedroom. She screamed when she saw him and the man ran to the neighbor’s backyard.
Twenty minutes later, and about 0.3 miles away, another woman woke up to the man in her bedroom.
The 38-year-old victim told law enforcement that she was woken up by the sound of a police helicopter flying in the area and saw the male suspect wearing a mask in front of her bed.
Police said that the victim reported the suspect repeatedly asked to have sex with her and got on top of her in bed. The man became anxious and started pacing once the woman said her husband would be back soon.
The victim then grabbed her cell phone, ran outside and called 911. Neither victim was injured and both were home alone.

As officers were traveling to the area to respond to the first call, police located a man who matched the description of the suspect. He allegedly asked police for help leaving the gated community before he was taken into custody.
The suspect is facing charges of felony burglary of a habitation with intent to commit sexual assault and felony burglary of a habitation with intent to commit theft of an elderly person, according to police.
KHOU spoke with apartment residents who said they want to know how the suspect entered the community. They also said they didn’t know anything was happening until they heard police—who reportedly responded to the scene quickly.
“Houston’s got a lot of crime. … reasons that we like this neighborhood is because we feel like it is so safe but I mean I guess you can only be so safe,” said Laura-Ann Settoon, one of the community’s residents.
