Mirador Roc Del Quer in Canillo, Andorra

'The Ponderer'

Outside the small town of Ordino in the microstate of Andorra, Mirador Roc del Quer a breathtaking experience awaits curious travelers.

Greeted by three massive totem poles, visitors can hike over 1,000 feet (400 meters) to a stunning valley viewpoint. Completed in 2016, the cantilevered platform extends 39 feet (12 meters) out over the cliff's edge, providing an unobstructed view of the valley. The village of Canillo unfolds over 500 meters below, parts of it visible through small glass windows on the floor.

Beyond the safety of the platform, a statue of a man lost in thought gazes pensively over the landscape. Known as "The Ponderer," the statue was designed by the Argentinian sculptor Miguel Ángel González. Visitors often leave coins on the beam connecting the thinker to the platform.
